A new, important EP for Noctu.
Dedicated to the memory of his paternal grandfather, Outlaw Doom (as the title suggests) blends together two seemingly distant musical genres, Funeral Doom (the basis of this project) and Outlaw Country.
Grandfather Enrico was a great lover of western films, from the classics with John Wayne, to Sergio Leone's "speghetti westerns", with Clint Eastwood (the Dollars Trilogy), to the more "modern" ones with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (They Call Me Trinity, etc.).
But the inspiration came in particular from the musical score.
If we talk about Sergio Leone, the master Ennio Morricone immediately comes to mind.
But the main theme of They Call Me Trinity also made history.
This is joined by Noctu's passion for country music, especially of artists such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson,
Kris Kristofferson and Alan Jackson.
The result of this fusion of genres creates very particular songs, with atypical compositional structures and a great emotional pathos.
Approach these compositions with an open mind, avoiding the distinctions between musical genres, but letting yourself be carried away by the emotions and suggestions that music and words can evoke.
